PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PROGRAM (PRP)
In Maryland, a psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) is an accreditation-based licensed program that provides community-based comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery services and supports and promotes successful community integration and use of community resources.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) works to assist individuals living with mental illness to reach a higher level of independence. The PRP program assists participants with accessing and coordinating services and resources in their communities and works to ensure that each individual has access to the best possible treatment and care.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs (PRP) are for both adults and minors with serious and persistent mental illness. Services are provided onsite and offsite by trained psychiatric rehabilitation counselors.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Assessment; upon admission to the program, trained rehabilitation staff meet face to face with clients and his/her family, guardian or care-taker to complete a functional skills assessment, designed to identify each clients strengths, skills and needs.
